Held as a separate fund and given only to recipients eligible under the eight Qur'anic categories. Never spent on running costs.

Why give at all
Night and day, secretly and publicly
ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمۡوَٰلَهُم بِٱلَّيۡلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ سِرّٗا وَعَلَانِيَةٗ فَلَهُمۡ أَجۡرُهُمۡ عِندَ رَبِّهِمۡ وَلَا خَوۡفٌ عَلَيۡهِمۡ وَلَا هُمۡ يَحۡزَنُونَ
Those who spend their wealth [in Allah 's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.
A note on receipts
Every gift is recorded against a reference. Email receipts go out automatically once the payment work is finished; until then, ask and we will send you written confirmation.
